The Awareness of Non-Duality
New Word
Sometimes a new word is needed to describe an experience for which no word yet exists.
Kalufua is one such word.
It does not describe an object, but a state of awareness. In the same way that we speak of “a positive mindset,” Kalufua refers to a particular way of perceiving reality: the awareness of non-duality.
Its essence can be expressed in two simple statements:
Everything is creation.
Everything is perfect.
Everything that exists is an expression of creation, and everything that unfolds is exactly as it is able to unfold.
The Awareness of Non-Duality
Ordinarily, we perceive the world through contrasts. Good and bad. Beautiful and ugly. Order and chaos. Yet these opposites exist only within the framework of human perception.
Kalufua points toward another perspective.
One in which separation dissolves.
There is no fundamental division between yourself and the world.
There is no fixed judgment about what is.
Everything is an expression of the same creative process.
This does not imply that everything is pleasant or desirable. It simply recognizes that reality precedes judgment. When experience is observed without resistance, a different quality of mind begins to emerge.
A quiet clarity.
Living Kalufua
Kalufua is not something to believe.
It is something to recognize.
It appears whenever resistance falls away.
You allow experience to arise before deciding what it means.
You observe without immediately dividing reality into success and failure, gain and loss, right and wrong.
You begin to see each moment as a unique expression of creation, including the moments once called mistakes.
Acceptance, in this sense, is not passive.
It is complete participation without unnecessary resistance.
The Endless Wave
A wave does not attempt to become something other than a wave.
It rises.
It breaks.
It disappears.
Never resisting its own nature.
Never existing apart from the ocean that gives it form.
Kalufua is the recognition that life moves in the same way.
Everything that appears is part of a single unfolding.
Nothing stands outside it.
Nothing is separate from it.
Everything is creation.
Everything is perfect.
